This post is dedicated to my newest love; Laura Mercier’s Silk Crème – medium to full coverage foundation. Usually, I am not one to go for a full coverage product as I find them to be too cakey for my skin (for example, Mac’s Studio Sculpt). I don’t like feeling as if I am wearing foundation, let alone having to be careful all day long about what I touch
with my face! However, that said, I LOVE this foundation! Despite the full coverage it gives, my skin still looks like skin and gives me the slight dewy finish I adore. This product is quite highly priced at £34, but a little goes a long way – so I feel this is justified. I have tried many foundations recently, including Chanel’s ‘pro lumiere aqua’ (more of a tinted moisturiser), Armani’s ‘Silk foundation’ (total rip off if you ask me!) and Dior’s ‘Teint Lumiere’ (Second place title holder)… However Laura is the clear winner, which is why I chose to review this product! If you’re looking to invest in a long-lasting, what it says on the bottle foundation, I completely recommend this product. I have normal to dry skin, but I am pretty sure this is one of those universal products that works on us all, so whatever your skin type – give it a go!
Teamed with my beloved Illamasqua primer (although any would do) and a Real Techniques foundation sponge or buffing brush, whatever your preference, this is my must-have product this winter, as I am not quite ready to give up my summer glow!
